With the goal of driving regional brand growth, territory managers lead sales operations for a pool, hot tub or spa company in a given local market. Like any sales role, relationships are the foundation of this work, and this position places a significant emphasis on people skills – communication, listening, and leadership.
Territory managers strive to meet and exceed sales targets, while also establishing a meaningful customer base. Responsibilities include relationship building and management, delivering presentations to highlight the value of products and services, developing sales reports and forecasts, participating in trade shows, and creating and executing sales strategies. This dynamic, in-person role is full-time and year-round. Depending on the position, extensive travel may be required, often for client events and industry tradeshows.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, sales manager positions are anticipated to grow in employment by 6% from 2023 to 2033 – faster than the average for all occupations.
