Rocky first laid his foundation in aquatics while working in outdoor construction and landscaping throughout high school, but he ultimately decided to switch lanes in college and pursue an automative technology degree. Then, the 2008 economic troubles prompted him to make the ultimate decision about his future: returning to his roots to build a pool and hot tub construction business. Nearly two decades later, he's never looked back and Serenity Hardscapes is thriving as a full-service pool company.
His experience is a testament to the value of education at every stage of your career. As Rocky built his business, he took advantage of learning opportunities and courses, like the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance's GENESIS® program, to enhance his expertise. Over the years, he's earned numerous certifications and titles—PHTA Certified Master Pool Builder & Design Professional, ACI Shotcrete Nozzleman, ACI Shotcrete Inspector, and ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician.
More recently, Rocky received recognition as a PoolPro Magazine "30 Under 40" recipient for his superb leadership and industry contributions. His long list of accomplishments not only demonstrates his commitment to professional development, but also serves as a leading example to his employees and fellow industry members.
