Lifeguard Job Description

Salary: Approximately $29,680 per year

Lifeguards are trained professionals typically employed at recreational swimming pools to ensure the safety of the public. The duties of a lifeguard include advising swimmers of proper behavior, upholding safety regulations, handling emergency situations that require CPR or first aid, organizing pool activities, and assisting with pool maintenance. Depending on the position and career path, a lifeguard may need to administer swimming classes.
