Working in tandem with management teams, construction administrators oversee the operational logistics for pool and hot tub construction projects. While overlap with other teams is expected, this role primarily handles the crucial behind-the-scenes coordination to ensure everything goes according to plan.
In the background, administrators pair their can-do attitude with strong leadership skills to supervise the logistical side of project planning and support the work of overall construction crews. Different from a project manager, responsibilities include contract and permit preparation, invoice and budget management, delivery coordination, schedule tracking, estimate development, and material procurement and inspections. Most importantly, this position maintains constant communication between all teams – foreman, subcontractors, and beyond. While most work happens off the construction site, administrator roles are in-person, full-time, and year-round.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, construction managers and similar positions like administrators are projected to grow in employment by 9% from 2024 to 2034 – far exceeding the average for all occupations.
